Helping children, teens, young adults & families find connection through creativity
LIFE DOESN'T COME WITH A ROADMAP, AND SOMETIMES THE PEOPLE WE CARE ABOUT MOST NEED A LITTLE EXTRA SUPPORT ALONG THE WAY.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified-Registered Art Therapist, I help children, teens, and young adults navigate life's challenges through creativity, connection, and compassionate care. Whether we're working through anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, self-esteem, or neurodivergent experiences, my goal is to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be themselves and supported enough to grow.
I BELIEVE HEALING HAPPENS WHEN PEOPLE FEEL SEEN, UNDERSTOOD, AND ACCEPTED FOR WHO THEY ARE.

MY PATH TO BECOMING an art therapist
I started with a lifelong love of creativity. As a child, art was something I naturally gravitated toward. It allowed me to explore ideas, express emotions, and connect with myself in ways that words sometimes couldn't.
As I explored different career paths, I discovered art therapy and immediately knew I had found something special a profession that combined creativity, human connection, and meaningful support.
Today, I hold both counseling and art therapy credentials, allowing me to integrate evidence-based therapeutic practices with creative expression to meet each client where they are.

Why I love working with
Neurodivergent Children + Families
One of the greatest privileges of my work is supporting neurodivergent children, teens, and their families. Too often, individuals are made to feel as though something about them needs to be fixed.
My approach is different.
Rather than focusing on deficits, I focus on strengths. I help clients better understand themselves, build confidence, develop tools that work for their unique needs, and navigate challenges in a way that feels authentic and sustainable. I believe every person deserves to feel valued for who they are and supported in becoming more fully themselves.
My Approach
Every client's story is unique, which means therapy should be too.
I approach each session with curiosity, compassion, and flexibility. Some clients process best through conversation, while others find it easier to communicate through art-making, movement, hands-on activities, or creative exploration. Together, we'll discover what feels most supportive for you or your child.
My work is rooted in:
-
Creativity as a tool for self-expression
-
Strength-based and neurodiversity-affirming care
-
Genuine connection and trust
-
Collaboration with families when appropriate
-
Creating a safe, welcoming environment
-
Meeting clients where they are
-
Evidence based therapy approaches, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
There is no expectation to be artistic or creative. Art therapy isn't about making something perfect—it's about using the creative process as a pathway toward understanding, growth, and healing.

What you can expect
My clients often describe me as calm, approachable, and easy to talk to.
I understand that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and I strive to make the process as comfortable as possible from the very beginning.
Whether you're a parent seeking support for your child, a teenager navigating life's challenges, or a young adult figuring out your next chapter, you don't have to navigate it alone.

Let’s connect
Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I know it can feel overwhelming to know where to begin.
I like to think it's like shopping for shoes - do you like them? AND are they the right fit for your needs?
If you'd like to learn more about art therapy, discuss your goals, or see if we're a good fit, I'd love to connect with you.
